On July 27, 2018, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus came into force, according to which citizens of 74 countries (see the list below) can stay in Belarus without a visa for up to 30 days without the possibility of extending this period. This rule applies to citizens entering the country through the border checkpoint Minsk national airport.
This possibility does not apply to passengers arriving in Belarus by domestic flights, as border control is not carried out on them.
Foreign citizens wishing to use the opportunity to visit Belarus without a visa through the border checkpoint of the national airport Minsk should have:
— valid General civil passport, the validity of which must exceed the date of intended departure from the Republic of Belarus for at least 90 days;
— cash: for each day of stay, the equivalent of about US $ 25 or the equivalent of us $ 600 for a maximum stay of 30 days.
— medical insurance policy in the amount of not less than 10 000 euros, valid in Belarus for the entire period of stay.
It is also necessary to comply with the mandatory requirement of the citizenship and migration authorities: when staying in Belarus for more than 5 working days, foreign citizens must be registered in the district offices of the Department of citizenship and migration of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Belarus. This requirement does not apply to foreign citizens living in hotels, hostels, resorts and other group accommodation. In this case, the duty of registration of foreign citizens lies with the administration of the institutions on arrival.
